Michaela - YOU ROCK! I am so glad you were able to run with us crazy ladies on Sat. I was so bummed when I finally woke up from my much needed nap to the blue sky trying to peak through the clouds! Good grief! I love your description of our run - you summed it up well. I am always grateful for all of you that come out each week to endure what we endure to prepare for the race of our lifetimes! I couldn't do it without all of you! You are welcome to run with us ANYTIME! And thank goodness for the newspaper shoved into my shoes - my shoes were completely dry within hours after that run! Amazing!

See you soon! And good luck with your 20! You'll do great!

This is a great run, congrats on finishing strong.

My parents live by a barrier island in NJ which is 18 miles long. Every year they have a 18 mile run with fewer than 1000 entrants so you end up running mostly on your own. I've run it 3X and it's poured for two of them. My shoes also weighed 5 lbs each and I got plenty of blisters.

So, I guess I would say, think about it this way. When you are running that marathon in a few weeks look to the person on your left, then the one on your right, and know that you are tougher because you did that hellish run and they did not. It'll give you a good kick when the marathon gets tough.

Congrats again. I hope you're recovering from that long one well.
